Myco Obaja Sihotang, LL.B.
Myco works with and represents various scale of Indonesian and foreign companies across a number of issues and projects. One of his focus is in the practice of entertainment law with services in the film and television industry.
Myco represents entities in all elements of feature film and television financing and production, including co-production, distribution and acquisition agreements as well as talent and crew agreements. He has assisted business arrangements, such as setting-up structures for various entertainment-based businesses by way of partnership, company or joint venture, including over-the-top (OTT) platforms, sound effects/recording studios and visual effects studios. He is currently a retainer counsel for PT Impian Indonesia, PT Belakang Layar, PT Karya Impian Indonesia and PT Citra Artisan Harapan.
Myco has also assisted multiple music and copyright holding companies in relation to recording, licensing agreements, publishing and distribution agreements. Myco is and has been the counsel for clients facing claims of alleged infringements of copyrights of music played in client’s products or platform, as well as resolving alleged copyright infringement claims for clients, negotiating and settling matters against various companies.
